6 Reasons to Praise Him

Friday, September 20, 2013

Wow what an exciting few weeks we've had!  This time has been an incredible roller coaster of emotions.  So many great things are happening and even though we constantly face opposition from the powers of this world God is stronger, better and good.  He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places and many already here on earth.  Sometimes I just can't believe how good he has been to us.  Of course we've had moments in which the enemy attacks us in our weakness but then we wake up and realize just how much God has been blessing us.

1.  Healthy Beautiful Baby Boy -
Noah Zechariah Snyder was born September 3rd at almost 4 Kilos and 52 cm.

Happy big sister

2.  Good delivery with minimal complications -
Far less dramatic in a good way Amy was able to have a fully natural birthing process and recovery.   She has been taken care of by a midwife and it is all totally covered by German insurance since I am   employed here so we did not have to worry about money in the midst of our celebrating.

3.  God's people sharing in the labor and in the harvest -
On top of everything else God has done for us God has seen to it through his people that we are well provided for financially.  We thank all those who share in our labors through giving.  Through your contributions we are being empowered and freed up to serve God and the people he loves here.  I believe that we are still in a season of watering and growth but we are seeing the blossoming of persons in the church and I ask you to pray for us that we might be used by God as gardeners in his garden, the laborers in his fields.  I look forward to what God has in store for all of us in this work together.
4.  God's government helping parents -
The Bible says in Romans 13 that "there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God."  Therefore we thank God for this Christ inspired reign of peace in this country.  Things are by no means perfect but one of the arguably good things the government here has done is to create a program that helps to support all lower and middle class families.  Therefore we are going to be receiving a total of almost 750 Euros a month from the government for Amy to work at home raising our two children.  These programs are to offer compensation in order to correct the tragic birthrate of 1.4 children per woman.  So far we are beating the odds and enjoying the system.

5.  Tent-making opportunities -
Today Amy and I met with an English Teacher who would like to help train us to begin teaching business English for a really good rate.  The work may not start until next January but even a few hours a week could make a large difference in our finances.  Please pray for wisdom on these things.  This could prove to be a way to limit our need for support or to support us in transitioning into a new church plant.
6.  More Teaching opportunities -
Pastor Rolf is about to take his insurance paid health retreat and I have been given the honor of teaching God's people.  As you remember me pray for wisdom and for a right spirit in all of these things.  There may also be the opportunity to speak at a School of Ministry class nearby so I am very excited.  Its a good feeling when you know you are using your gifts doing what you are called to do.  If one can do those things while maintaining focus on Jesus and his glorious and approaching beauty and splendor then he cannot help but be filled with joy despite the circumstances.  Right now we feel as if we are in abundance yet I know we will again lack.  Yet I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!

That's enough for now.  Grace and Peace,

The Snyders - Aaron, Amy, Peyton and Noah
