God has been so merciful in opening doors before us.  Here are a few recent happenings

High School Campus Bible Study: Things keep coming together to begin a Bible Study on the local public High School for pre-University students.  I’m super excited about this opportunity and I pray that many come to faith through it.  Perhaps more importantly is to pray that the faith of the young Christians would soak up the gospel and sink roots down into the streams of living waters becoming like well rooted oaks of righteousness.  If the Christians are strengthened, challenged, encouraged, rebuked and above all loved on then they will bear good fruit as they learn to abide and grow in Christ Jesus.
Prayer points: Conversion and growth especially among those who already name the name of Christ.
Boldness and favor for the young student and teacher who are spearheading this from the inside: Frederic and Frau Alscher
That I and others would be ready to receive the many needy students in loving relationship and discipleship
College Groups: A new Technical College is in the final stages of being built in Lippstadt.  Students have been attending since last fall.  The Christian Student group has been very slow in starting but is gaining momentum.  The core is small but even in the midst of business the devil has not been able to extinguish it.  If all goes well we will receive a room next month on campus to conduct Bible Study and Campus outreach.  At the same time I am leading CCLP’s young adult group and would love to see both groups get connected.
Please pray that students with Christian roots would be found, engaged, awakened and led into good fellowship where they can grow.  Wisdom and grace for these small beginnings.
Personal Healing and Growth: I try to keep in mind the needs of the body at large but I am with Calvary for a reason.  I think it’s among the best systems I’ve seen and therefore I want to see CC Lippstadt grow but we are already having hardships with the growth we have.  Different people have different opinions and we need grace to get along together with several very dominant personalities.  Besides that a dear saint and sister in Christ in her 50s who died last night after a month long struggle with cancer.  There is a hole in our little body without her but we must trust that Christ’s pruning is not without cause.  Eva is now at home with the Lord and we trust that God will fill her void with others who will take part in the nourishing vine of Christ Jesus.
Eva worked at a print shop and came through reading the church newsletters we would print there.  Her daughter Carina is also a believer in our congregation but the husband Helmut and son Oliver do not seem to have a relationship with the Lord though they have recently been attending.  Your prayers for them are not without effect and gain.
